We present a list of free OpenCart extensions, or rather tools that must be installed on a new project. These tools solve a number of tasks to improve the performance of the administrator and the website as a whole.
1. Localcopy - fix ocmod installation error
The extension, which was called Localcopy, solves the problem of writing module files through the ocmod installer to any website folders. By default, OpenCart allows uploading files only to the extension folder, but this is often not enough, because modern extensions contain additional libraries or images, but installing such a complex module will not work. That's why the Locacopy fix for OpenCart is a top priority extension.
2. Admin modifications refresh button in installer page
If you have already installed OpenCart extensions through the installer in the admin, then you know that the installation process is not very convenient, because you have to go to different pages - there to install, there to update the cache, there to turn on the module. So, this extension simplifies these procedures, because it adds a button to update the modification cache on the ocmod extensions installation page.
A cool extension that should be in the OpenCart base, but it's good that it is at least as a separate component. Starting with OpenCart version 4.1.0.0, such an option was finally added to the engine code.
8. Advanced Product Autocomplete
Auto-completion fields in the admin search for products only by name. If you want to search for products by other product parameters, such as article numbers, then this fix extension will help.
9. Sort Product Images by Drag&Drop
Anyone who has worked with OpenCart knows that working with product images is not very convenient. This extension allows you to somewhat simplify these difficulties. You will be able to drag the product images with the mouse to achieve the desired order of their sorting on the product page.
10. WebP Images
A great free tool for automatically converting jpg and png images of the site to the modern webp format, which optimizes and compresses photos with almost no loss of quality.
