Ocmod Extensions for OpenCart
OCMod is a system for modifying the OpenCart source code using a set of operations described in the xml protocol. This system appeared starting with OpenCart 2.0.0.0 and replaced the outdated VQMod modification system, which was actively used by users in OpenCart 1.5.x.x. So, the new modification system allowed for automatic installation of modules through the site administrator panel, CMS users liked it very much, because it had a low threshold for entering development, and since then ocmod modifiers have migrated throughout the 2.x.x.x and 3.x.x.x line. As of OC 4.0.0.0, xml modifiers are no longer supported, but modules are still in ocmod.zip format
OpenCart ocmod modules are extensions that can be installed through a form in the admin panel in just a few clicks. They allow you to customize the CMS source code, add your own scripts to any code position in php, tpl, twig files. The usual ocmod extension has the name module_name.ocmod.zip, that is, it is a zip archive that contains the install.xml modification script, there is a folder with module files, which is called "upload". Depending on the need, the module may not have either the modifier xml file or the module files. That is, a module can consist only of an xml file with a modification script or only of module files.
You can download ocmod module in OpenCart in the administration panel of the site in the Extensions / Installation section. There you need to download the module as an archive and after that you must update the cache of modified files so that the changes of the new module are applied. In case of conflicts between different okmod modifiers, you can track all operations and errors in the Log tab.
